A course for you and your child

Strong hearts, safe minds, for children living between two homes.

The Safe Hearts Method is a calm little corner just for your child. Ten short modules with stories, drawing, breathing and games help them feel loved, name big feelings, and know that grown-up conflict is not theirs to fix.

10 child-friendly modules · print workbook · a guide for grown-ups · self-paced

What children often carry
“Is this my fault?”
“If I love one of them, am I leaving the other out?”
“I feel weird at handover and I do not know why.”
“I do not know what to say.”

Children do not need all the answers. They need to feel safe, loved and allowed to feel what they feel.

Children feel the conflict, even when nobody says it out loud.

When there are two homes and tension between them, children can feel pulled in two directions. They often do not have the words for it.

This course gives them the words, the tools and the reassurance that they can love both parents and are never responsible for the adult disagreement.

My heart is big enough to love both of my parents.

By the end, you’ll be able to…

Feel safe and lovedHear, in ways that land, that this is not their fault and they can always ask for help.
Name big feelingsLearn feelings are okay, they come and go, and the body notices them first.
Calm their bodyBuild their own calm-down toolbox, from wave breathing to a safe place inside.
Sort thoughts, feelings and factsLearn that a thought is not always true, and how to check it.
Stay out of the middleUnderstand that grown-up disagreements are not their job to fix.
Find their voiceAsk for help, say no, and say how they feel calmly and safely.
