Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 19 October 2026
These terms are provided for general informational purposes and do not constitute legal advice.
These Terms & Conditions govern your purchase and use of courses offered by My Parenting Compass ("we", "us", "our") through this website. By purchasing a course, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
My Parenting Compass is operated by My Parenting Compass (ABN 45 716 189 602). Contact: talithaszigety@gmail.com.
2. The courses
Our courses are educational and reflective in nature. They are designed to offer practical, trauma-informed tools for parents navigating high-conflict co-parenting and related challenges. They are general in nature and are not a substitute for individual legal, medical, or mental health advice.
No professional advice. Nothing in our courses constitutes legal advice, therapy, counselling, or a diagnosis. If you are in crisis, in an unsafe situation, or need advice specific to your circumstances, please contact a qualified professional or your local support service.
No guaranteed outcomes. Every family's situation is different. We do not guarantee any specific outcome — for your co-parenting relationship, custody arrangement, or your child's wellbeing — from completing a course.
3. Purchasing and access
- Courses are purchased through Stripe, our third-party payment processor.
- After purchase, you will receive an email with instructions and an access code for the relevant course, hosted at its own web address.
- Please check your email (including spam/junk folders) shortly after purchase. If you haven't received access within 24 hours, contact us at talithaszigety@gmail.com.
- Access is for your personal, individual use. Access codes and course materials are not to be shared, resold, or redistributed.
4. Refunds
Please choose carefully — because our courses are digital and accessible as soon as your link and access code are sent, we do not offer refunds for change of mind once access has been provided.
This is subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), which cannot be excluded. Our courses come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. If a course has a major problem — for example, it is significantly different from how it was described, or access was never provided — you are entitled to ask for the course to be fixed, or for a refund. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.
If you believe there's a problem with your purchase, contact us at talithaszigety@gmail.com and we'll work through it with you.
5. Walk & Talk sessions
Walk & Talk sessions are one-to-one, one-hour parenting conversations. They are offered in person for people on the northern Gold Coast, Queensland, or by phone from anywhere.
- After you pay, contact us by email or by direct message on Instagram (@myparentingcompass) to arrange a time.
- Cancelling or rescheduling a session requires at least 24 hours’ notice. If less notice is given, the session may be forfeited.
- Sessions are practical, supportive conversations. They are not therapy, counselling, medical advice or legal advice, and they do not replace professional support. If you or your child are in immediate danger, call 000.
Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If we cancel or cannot deliver a session, you are entitled to reschedule it or receive a refund.
6. Intellectual property
All course content — including text, frameworks (such as the SAFE framework), worksheets, and downloadable resources — is the intellectual property of My Parenting Compass and is protected by copyright. You may use course materials for your own personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly share course content without our prior written permission.
7. Free resources
Free downloadable resources are provided for personal use and general informational purposes. The same "no professional advice" and intellectual property terms above apply to these resources.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, My Parenting Compass and its founder are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of our courses or website. Nothing in these terms excludes any rights you may have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
